Hardy annual with delicate papery red-petaled flowers in mid-summer, followed by good seed heads. Can self-sow, best in sun and moist well-drained soil.

Spread: 15cm

Surface sow in moist compost in containers in autumn or early spring. Lightly cover seeds with a thin layer of fine grit. Seedlings resent disturbance so prick out as soon as possible. Alternatively sow in situ.
